Children in Need

On Friday 17th November, Osmani Primary School raised money for Children in Need.

This year’s theme was ‘Do your thing’ and to mark our school’s motto ‘Reach for the stars’, we celebrated by dressing up as our favourite stars.

As we are a Rights Respecting School, it is important that we support children across the world in gaining access to their rights. We are pleased to announce that we raised £288 for Children in Need!

Thank you for all your support and donations.

Black History Month at Osmani

Osmani chose to celebrate Black History Month this year by participating in a number of fun and engaging activities. Nursery and Reception based all their lessons around Africa and learnt more about African culture, instruments and designs. KS1 and KS2 based all of their lessons around people who have made changes to the world and have fought for an end to discrimination and inequality. We learnt about the bravery of Rosa Parks, the courage of Muhammed Ali, the patience of Nelson Mandela, the perseverance of Serena Williams, the optimism of Malcolm X and the integrity of Floella Benjamin. Combined with our lessons on these iconic individuals we also participated in some fun filled art activities. We all had fun creating, painting and using our imaginations! Have a look at some of the fun things that we did created!
