Victoria Park

Victoria Park

Year One went to Victoria Park. Our topic is In the Garden and we have been learning about plants in science.  We went on a plant hunt, and we did leaf/bark rubbings. We also identified the different wildlife around the park.  What an amazing trip it was!

Year 5 get creative at the British Library!

This week Year 5 were lucky enough to go on a trip to the British Library to take part in a creative writing workshop. We had the opportunity to wander around the magnificently designed building and see books from hundreds of years ago! Did you know that the library contains more than 9 million books? There were books from various religious backgrounds, books about history, politics and the world around us. The workshop was great fun. We walked around the treasures gallery and collected nouns, adjectives, verbs and adverbs from the various books on display. We then used these words to get creative and create our own made up words and then our own collective made up story. Have a look at some of the things we saw…

Year 5 travel into space!

This half term year 5 have been learning all about space and the solar system. As part of this topic they were given the amazing opportunity to visit the Royal Observatory in Greenwich and watch a Planetarium Show. They were transported into space and learnt fun facts about other planets, the solar system that we are part of and other galaxies in the universe. Have a look at some of our pictures to see how much fun we had!
