In Reception, we have been reading “The Gingerbread Man”. All of the children have enjoyed reading the story and joining in with the repeated refrain: “run, run as fast as you can!”.
The children have made descriptive posters in Literacy to help us find our missing Gingerbread man. The drawings and sentences about the Gingerbread Man are amazing! We have been trying very hard to remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and full stops!
We have also been baking our own delicious Gingerbread Men! The children have mixed the ingredients and rolled out their dough very independently!
In Reception we have been learning about 2D shapes. It was a little bit tricky at the start, but now we can recognise them and talk about the corners and sides. We’ve been having a go at drawing them too!
