Year 1’s End of Year trip to Chalkwell Beach!

As we have come to the end of another fantastic year here at Osmani, we thought what better way to celebrate than a all-you-can-have-fun trip to Chalkwell Beach?!

We took two very different trains to reach our destination. Luckily for us, the sun had come up by then and we had a lovely time in the sunshine whilst paddling and splashing about in the wading pool!

We finished off our day with a yummy ice-cream before we headed back to school just in time for home-time! Fantastic timing!

Year 1’s trip to Victoria Park!

Year 1 went on an exciting trip to Victoria Park as part of our literacy recount unit. We had an amazing time feeding the ducks and swans, enjoying the fountain area and looking at the many different varieties of plants and flowers.

We had a fantastic time with our friends playing in the play area and having a go at interacting and exploring all the different play structures that were there. It was so much FUN!

We documented our journey by recording the sights we had seen, the sounds we had heard and the activities we took part in the park.

National Portrait Gallery

In October, Year 1 visited the National Portrait Gallery to look at portraits of Florence Nightingale and Mary Seacole. We have been learning about them in our history lessons. The trip helped to reinforce our understanding of the pioneering roles of each woman.
