Y6A Bow Arts Day

For our topic this half term ‘London in Danger’, we were very fortunate to work with Bow Arts.

Bow Arts takes world-class artists into schools across London to improve the learning experiences of children and young people.

The children in Y6 designed and created 3D models of buildings that would survive London if it were to be flooded.

Take a look at their designs and models.

WW2 at the Museum of London (Docklands)

On Wednesday 13th November, Year 6 visited the Museum of London Docklands as part of our learning about World War Two. We examined real objects and discovered what they were used for in WW2. We also explored the museum exhibits and learnt about the effect of the Blitz on the Docklands.

The workshop was extremely educational and the workshop leader was very informative. It was definitely worth it.

Concordia’s ‘Man in the Moon’ performance at St Paul’s Church

On Thursday 31st October, Y6 were very fortunate to take part in  and watch Concordia’s Man in the Moon Performance.  During the show, the Man in the Moon  introduced children to the beginnings of industry (the Stone Age), the discovery of oil  and to the invention of the world’s most wasteful material – plastic.

The children loved the show. They joined in with the songs that they had learnt in school with Concordia.

Thank you Concordia for a wonderful project.
