Y6 at the Centre of the Cell

On Monday 25th November,  Y6 went on an fascinating trip to  Center of the Cell. Centre of the Cell is a science education centre based at Queen Mary University of London.  Here the children witnessed research scientists at work as they entered the centre.

During the session, children were able to visit the Pod  where they played interactive games to learn about the amazing world of cells, the human body and the latest medical research.  These interactive games were enhanced by films projected onto the ceiling of the Pod which introduced the concepts of cell biology and medical research.

Y6 also took part in a separate interactive presentation about the heart and learnt the importance of being healthy.

They had a great time and learnt a lot of new facts.
