Learning Endangered Instrument

The London Symphony Orchestra collaborated with Tower Hamlets Arts & Music Education Services to lead music workshops with Year 6 at Osmani Primary School. The aim of the project was to encourage more children to take up learning endangered instruments (bassoon, oboe, viola and French horn). The pupils had a fantastic time and were inspired by the project.

Tower Hamlets Book Award

Ten of our Year 6 children participated in the Tower Hamlets Book Award this term and enjoyed the challenge of reading the six titles shortlisted for this year’s award.  They attended the finale at Canary Wharf on the 24th November together with pupils from 33 other schools , where they had the chance to meet two of the winning authors, Jo Cotterill and Philip Reeve and to get books signed.  Two of our pupils won prizes for their artwork in response to the winning book,  Jo Cotterill’s  ‘A Library of Lemons’.
