Another fun day filled with lots of activities.
Last academic year, Year 6 wrote persuasive letters to the Mayor of London, in which they raised concerns about plastic waste. Read the reply from Sadiq Khan.
We’ve had a fantastic first day with activities such as abseiling and the mini Olympics. We are all back in rooms getting ready for our first night’s sleep.

Year 6 had a creative writing workshop with the poet Adisa, who came to inspire them and guide them in writing their own poems on this year’s creative writing competition theme ‘We need to make some changes around here’.
Ten of our Year 6 children participated in the Tower Hamlets Book Award this term and enjoyed the challenge of reading the six titles shortlisted for this year’s award. They attended the finale at Canary Wharf on the 24th November together with pupils from 33 other schools , where they had the chance to meet two of the winning authors, Jo Cotterill and Philip Reeve and to get books signed. Two of our pupils won prizes for their artwork in response to the winning book, Jo Cotterill’s ‘A Library of Lemons’.
Their residential is coming to an end. The children have had an amazing time at Kingswood and looking forward to coming home to see their family.
