On Sunday 29th October, KS2 had an amazing day out at London Stadium watching West Ham take on Spurs.
Being part of the 24,790 crowd, the children left their mark with cheers, singing and chants.
The final score was 2-0 to Spurs. Well done to Tottenham as it was well deserved.
A massive thank you to Asad, who gave our school the tickets. It allowed the children to enjoy this wonderful experience.
In Years 5 and 6, EqualiTeach held workshops for the children. They were interactive and fully participatory.
The aim of the workshop was to:
- support young people to understand that everyone has a different world view and we don’t always see the world in the same way as other people
- explore how sometimes information that may be accepted as fact when it may not be reliable
- examine the potential damaging consequences of believing in false information
- enable pupils to see how critical thinking skills can be used to prevent the escalation of a situation and reject division, prejudice and hate.
It was a great opportunity for children to learn from any misconceptions they may have had prior to the session.
